My nephews Luke and Zach are great kids. When Luke's Mom married Zach's Dad a few years ago, they became a blended family and the boys became brothers. Both of them will be graduating in a couple months- Luke from El Diamante and Zach from Mission Oak- and I am so proud of the two of them. Both are HUGE Star Wars fans so we decided to have some fun at the end of the session and let good and evil battle it out with their lightsabers.

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...” - Dr. Seuss Oh, The Places You'll Go! I've known this beautiful girl since she was three. Oh, how these little ones grow up so fast! She was always there with a big smile and a hug for me. Kyra has grown into such a lovely person, both inside and out. My heart is so overjoyed that I was blessed to become friends with her Mama so many years ago.
I love Senior shoots. We always have fun. I met up with Aly, her Mom and her best friend, Jackie, at Woodward Park during a beautiful golden evening recently for her senior session. The girls share a special bond- they have been best friends since the age of four and plan to walk together at graduation (much like my best friend and I did so many years ago.) The results of her session are as lovely as she is (both inside and out).
It's been an amazing year for my little photography business. To my clients, thank you for letting me capture your memories! You have allowed my to bring my dream to life and for that I am forever grateful. Here is a selection of some of my favorites... coming soon will be The Best of 2013- part two with my personal favorites for the year.
Time really does fly by. When I moved back to California in 2000, Dominic was just five years old. Now, he is in his Senior year of high school and making plans for college. I am so incredibly proud of the person he has become.
I always have so much fun during Senior sessions! Thank you to Alexis and her family for making the trip from Sanger to Kerman. I hope you have a wonderful Senior year!
I spent my Sunday afternoon with Ana and her Grandmother driving around in the country, which is pretty funny because this girl is anything but a country girl! She hates dirt and bugs and didn't like the idea that she might get a little dirty. All this aside, we had a great time and I was very honored to be the one taking her Senior photos. Twenty years ago it was her Mom and Me graduating from high school (20 years?!! How can that be?). I can't believe that this beautiful young lady is the same baby that I used to get pictures of when I was living out of state. I am so proud of her! Congratulations Ana, your "Auntie" Mel loves you!
