After all, Tomorrow is Another Day- Details of a "Gone with the Wind" themed Retirement Party6/12/2015 My wonderful friend Laura Ferrick of Eclectic Affairs asked me to take some detail shots at her last event, a "Gone with the Wind" themed retirement party. The backyard setting was perfect and everything turned out absolutely beautiful!

I've attempted a Project 52, even tried 30 days of black and white... I got behind, tried to catch up, and then just threw in the towel. Taking pictures isn't the problem, its editing them on a daily basis when two little ones are almost always commanding and demanding my attention. I am not complaining, this is the life I have always wished for... so my new project is to celebrate the everyday and post the pictures as often as I can... no pressure, no timelines. Just make sure that I get lots of pictures and document our family doing the day to day stuff that I want to remember (and make sure that I am included in the pictures as well!). It is also important to remember to print those photos and put them where the kids can enjoy them. So do yourself a favor and try to remember to make sure you are documenting your own life, it is something you will cherish forever. XO- Melissa "Big brother/ big helper"- These two just know that they belong together "The night the lights went out in Kerman"- It was scary at first, but Momma lit candles and Daddy made it better with ice cream
Last weekend my niece and I took a little stroll around downtown Visalia for a mini-session. This amazingly unique 12 year old girl fills my heart with joy. She is a skater and a seamstress; incredibly creative and perhaps a little stubborn. I love her for all these things and wouldn't want her any other way. Happy Birthday Emery... Auntie Liss loves you.

AuthorHi, I'm Melissa. I am a wife, mother, step-mother, Gigi (step-grandma) and a photographer. I started out as the family member always asked to bring my camera along and it has turned into my life dream. I just love being able to capture moments for others that they can always cherish. This is my little corner to share my sessions, projects, and a little piece of our daily life. Thanks for stopping by! Archives
