Baby bumps are beautiful, at least to me they are. The miracle of a new life growing inside amazes me. There is also something about the mother as well, their beauty multiplies. I've known Liz and Mitch for five years now and they are basically family. Getting to capture the two of them before the arrival of their little girl was so special to me. We had lots of fun and I think it's pretty apparent in the photos how much these two love each other and how much they already love their little girl. Many thanks to the two of them for letting me be a part of it.

Two years have gone by so fast!
I swear that taking pictures of other people's kids is WAY easier than getting a good one of my own. Mainly because other kids find me amusing, while mine has seen the song and dance and silliness and is hoping for a quick escape so he can go exploring. This "little" guy is always looking for adventure... and treasures (which are usually the rocks he brings to me to keep for him). He is all boy. We spent most of the evening watching him kick up dirt clouds and get as dirty as possible, all while trying to avoid me and my camera at all cost (darn Mamarazzi!) Get ready for a Halloween cuteness overload! Mickey and Dracula (aka Malachi and Payton) melted my heart yesterday. At first they weren't too sure about the outfits (and the lady with the camera) but we got them to giggle and smile a bit. Now I can't wait for Halloween to get here so I can see all the other kiddos dressed up!
Dear almost two year old boy,
It seems only yesterday you were born. How can it be that so much time has already gone by? You will be celebrating your birthday in a few days... your second birthday. I am thankful every day that I get to stay home with you and watch you grow before my eyes. All your smiles that melt my heart, your belly laughs and squeals, and even the temper tantrums and fits when you don't get your way; I am thankful for all these memories that I will have with you and I know someday you will get sick of hearing about them. How you give me a kiss when you pass me on the way to the slide at the park or how you always run to the laundry room when I'm chasing you (even though you can't escape from me once you get there!).I love how every rock or twig you find is a treasure that you bring to me with pride, And you must always remember that even when I am angry or annoyed at something you have done, know how much I love you and how you have filled my heart to the brim. Motherhood has definitely changed my life. Because of you popular music has been replaced by Disney and Sprout songs, the importance of makeup and clothes are almost trivial to me, must see t.v. for us most nights are cartoons that we have seen at least ten times, and being asleep by 9:30 is a blessing (because staying up late is the last thing I want to do!). So slow down sweet boy, and stop growing up so fast. Your Momma wants to remember every little thing along the way. All my love, Momma Five and one are difficult ages, especially when you are trying to get them to take pictures... together. Cooperation is not a word either of them understood, so we just worked with it.
I'm running behind on posting blogs. This little girl celebrated her 5th birthday last week. We had lots of fun during her session with her brother (pictures of the two of them together in the next blog... stay tuned!) Class of 2026? This made me and her Mom feel a bit old! Had to get a closeup of those boots!
I admit to being incredibly biased, but isn't this little guy adorable? And he is such a ham! I was so blessed to be in the delivery room the day he was born. I can't believe that it has already been a year.
There is nothing quite like a country fair, and in Central California there is nothing quite like the Caruthers District Free Gate Fair. All the fair fun and no entrance fee! We decided to introduce our boy to the fun. We stumbled upon the parade when we got to town and made our way through the crowd to the fair to get some lunch (because there is nothing quite like fair food!).
