The day set record high temperatures in the California Central Valley (over 110 degrees!) but it was a beautiful ceremony filled with love, family, and smiles. The venue is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the views from the ceremony site were gorgeous.
This day was special in so many ways- it would have been the bride's maternal grandparents' 50th anniversary and the whole day was about family- the bride's Uncle officiated, and her stepfather and father walked her into the ceremony. Many of her siblings (and one of the groom's) and her cousins made up the wedding party. The groom's family traveled from Texas to be a part of the big day. Huge congratulations to Kaitlin and William!

With co-vid 19 quarantine and stay-at-home orders, I have only been photographing and documenting my family. However, our oldest and his family moved to our area right before the world turned upside down and they also found out they were expecting. We remained in each other's "bubble" during quarantine (watching the kids when needed) so we planned to take a few maternity photos at Thanksgiving. We knew the boys probably wouldn't cooperate with us, so we didn't expect too much and just wanted to make sure that baby Joy was documented. All images were shot on expired Focal film (it's what was already loaded in my Pentax K-1000) and developed and scanned by The FIND Lab.
She said yes on Christmas Day, a week or so later we met at the park to get some portraits to celebrate. Congratulations to my beautiful niece/goddaughter, Kaitlin, and her beau, Will. It is such an honor to share this happy time with the both of you!
All images were shot on film with Pentax K1000 and Mamiya 645J. Developed and scanned by The FIND Lab I met up with this beautiful blended family on a super hot July day. We couldn't reschedule because their oldest was due to go back to Washington, so we toughed it out and looked for some open shade, but man that sun was harsh! I still can't believe how big all the kids are getting... time seems to fly by these days.
I was so honored to be a part of Rachel and Tyson's evening. We met up before they went to dinner (pizza!) and took pictures of the two of them.
Portra 400 shot on Mamiya 645, developed by Pro Photo Connection I've said it before, I have a special place in my heart for blended families. I come from one and now have one of my own- so they are near and dear to my heart. It was such a pleasure to meet this beautiful family. We had a great time wandering around Simonian Farms in the early morning on a Sunday a few weeks ago.
Portra 400 shot on my Mamiya 645, Ektar 100 pushed +2 on Minolta Maxxum 7000, and HP5 pushed +3 on Pentax K1000 developed and scanned by Pro Photo Connection When I initially met Marc and Brittany they stressed that they wanted their day documented with as many candid moments as possible. As someone that loves documentary type of work, I was over the moon for this opportunity and couldn't wait for their big day. They exchanged vows at the beautiful Nonini Winery in Fresno County and it couldn't have been a more perfect day. Both the bride's and groom's families were so wonderful and genuine and the entire day was about the blending of two families. Congratulations to the Armstrongs!
Film shot with Portra 400 and 160 on Mamiya 645, developed and scanned by Pro Photo Connections I have said it many times before; the best part of my job is that I get to see old friends from years past and meet their families! Stephanie and I graduated from high school together and I was so excited to meet her husband and boys. I brought along my film camera (a Canon EF) and shot images on it as well, and I must say that I loved the results that I got with it. Many thanks to them for navigating through tall weeds and brush to get to the spots I had scouted before the session.
Film images were developed and scanned by The FIND Lab So excited that I get to share this wonderful little family on the blog today! Brittany and Marc will exchange vows in October at a beautiful little local winery. I had a fun afternoon with the Villa family at Woodward Park in Fresno. This year we were much luckier with weather and didn't have to hurry it along because we were freezing! We found the perfect spot that had beautiful fall foliage and also a tree for the kids to climb. I always have a great time with this family and love to be able to watch the kids grow over the years. Returning clients are the best compliment that I can get!
