Springtime in the Central Valley is always beautiful. Whether it's the blossoms or the new greenery, the shades just seem to pop after a long winter. I met up with these two and their Momma for a quick session in the orchards last month, and even though the kids were not exactly in the mood for pictures we got some great ones!

"Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty , as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale." -Lauren DeStefano
A beautiful little family session at Woodward Park. The changing colors made for some pretty backgrounds (and foregrounds too!). We had a small problem with a mad duck that tried to run us out of the space. I even caught little Victoria having fun with her Mom and Dad a couple of times during the session. Playing with your cousins and having such a good time! It's impossible to get all of you to stop and pose for me, but most times I like the candid shots even more. My greatest hope is that you and your cousins grow up as close as I did with mine. That you can share stories, and laughter and tons of great memories together.
I know I mention this quite a bit, but I am ever so thankful for my photography business because of the friendships that have come out of it. This past weekend I was excited to see a former classmate from high school and meet his beautiful family. The boys are adorable... Gabriel didn't mind when I held him so everyone could get situated and Nicky even gave me a big hug goodbye. Working with people like the Alcala's makes my heart happy!
As a stay at home Mom most of our outings involve spending time playing at the park. This last weekend we went to check out someplace new that a friend had recommended- Oso de Oro in Fresno, CA. We had lots of fun and loved that there was plenty of space to let our little guy to run around without worrying about traffic.
My baby sister has been trying to get a family photo since her little guy was born. We finally made some time to get together over the weekend. The kids,Madison and Jaxson, were in great moods. In fact, Jaxson was a huge ham!
I was so happy we could squeeze this session in this year. Cheryl, Josh and I have cousins in common, so we grew up seeing each other at family gatherings. I was so excited to meet their families and capture memories for all of them. Thanks for making the drive to meet me, I hope you love your images as much as I do!
The biggest compliment for me is repeat clients. I loved meeting the entire Villa family for this session. The kids were so much fun! We had an impromptu lesson on smiling for one of them and they thought it would be lots of fun to climb the trees. Thank you to the Villa family for braving the cold weather to get your session in this year!
Five and one are difficult ages, especially when you are trying to get them to take pictures... together. Cooperation is not a word either of them understood, so we just worked with it.
I'm running behind on posting blogs. This little girl celebrated her 5th birthday last week. We had lots of fun during her session with her brother (pictures of the two of them together in the next blog... stay tuned!) Class of 2026? This made me and her Mom feel a bit old! Had to get a closeup of those boots!
