Let me be perfectly honest- I'm not sure I can handle this project 365. I'm overwhelmed by just the thought of it! For one, how the heck am I going to have the time to post everyday?
With two small children (one who is on the Autism Spectrum), three dogs, a husband, and a house that is usually a disaster or being destroyed by the dogs and kids I think I may have officially lost my mind. But you never really know until you try. So the next 365 days will be us... the real us, documented. Here it goes... 1/365 Their favorite part of the day, bath time.

For as long as I can remember holidays have meant going to Grandma and Grandpa Rodriguez's house. They live at the base of the foothills leading to Sequoia National Park. I've always loved it at their house. As a child, my sisters, cousins and I played in the plum orchard and orange groves; we looked for treasure among the rocks by the railroad tracks; drove the beloved "Tug" tractor for fun; and drew our houses in the dirt between our Grandparent's house and our Grandfathers woodworking shed. It is a happy place full of memories and I am so happy to see a new generation enjoying it. My children now run and play with their cousins. And although some of the views have changed, the love is there... just as it always has been.
My husband is a teacher, so we are all a bit sad when summer vacation comes to an end. However, I love the images that I get each year as we put his classroom back in order. I get to see how much my munchkin (now munchkins!) have grown. For instance, I remember when Eric was crawling between the desk rows. This year with our new addition (baby Amelia) we start all over again. And it just so happened that she chose to roll over for the very first time in her Daddy's classroom. Thank goodness I grabbed my camera before we left home!
Amelia is already six months old and trying her first food! In keeping with my promise to myself to document our everyday moments (and make sure that I am included in some of the pictures), here is our little one getting her first taste of peaches and rice cereal. Don't forget to document your everyday moments too!
XO- Melissa She's here! She's here! Our beautiful daughter is finally here! Weighing in at 7 pounds and 3 ounces and measuring at 20 inches she is a little piece of perfection. I spent my few days in the hospital taking lots of pictures (and even setting up the timer so I could be in some as well).
I am taking my time to heal from surgery, but will be back to work in April after the doctor clears me for duty. Until then I am going to soak up the love with my hubby and our littles and enjoy time focusing on our family. October is my favorite month of the year. Not only is it my birthday month (and my little monkey's), but it brings back so many fond memories of Halloween's past. My twin Great-Aunt's Teresa and Virginia were Halloween babies and we always celebrated with them after going trick-or -treating. We knew to save our candy because we were going to get birthday cake that was usually loaded with butter-cream icing! All of this made me absolutely love the month of October because between the pumpkins, the fun and the birthdays it was always my favorite time of the year.
This year we made our fourth annual trek to our favorite Pumpkin Patch, Single Palm Pumpkins. Sadly, this will be our last visit to the patch. The owners have decided that with the drought here in California that they will do something else with the land. We made it a family occasion and my sister and brother-in-law brought their two littles and my cousin brought her girls. Except for my little guy's meltdown near the end of our visit, we had a good time. I am a couple weeks behind with my project 52. Pregnancy and motherhood just limits my time lately to get anything done. Priorities are to worry about the kiddos, hubby and house first and business later. However, it doesn't mean I stop taking pictures! I just haven't had a moment to sit and blog about them. I am going to attempt to catch up because life is just getting busier and busier by the day!
This was from a week ago. I came out of the back of the house and my little one was having a snack... and sharing it with his favorite pooch. The picture is dark but it was evening and the I was just trying to make sure to get the moment. These two are like peas and carrots and I love that my son is growing up with the love of his dogs. I love capturing moments of you with our family. This last weekend we traveled south to Los Angeles to celebrate your big brother's birthday. You played and visited with everyone and we had a great day.
We got you this train set for Christmas and it has taken until now for you to show any interest in it. You can sit all day long watching it go round and round...
This week we took our boy to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo (our local zoo). He had lots of fun running around and for the most part... not paying ANY attention to the animals!
