We took you to see Grandpa JD on Memorial Day evening. You went to his grave marker, and started jumping up and down and I could almost hear him saying hi and laughing at you. I know you will not remember him when you are older, but he always had such a soft spot in his heart for you. Once you got to his grave marker you stayed there for quite awhile setting down your car as if you were showing them to him. I know he is smiling down on us everyday. Rest in peace, JD and know that you are never far from our thoughts.

I'm pretty sure that he can figure out that the weekend is coming up. By Friday night he is sick of me and is all about spending time with his Dad. This last weekend was one a bonus weekend, a three day holiday, so that meant even MORE time with Dad! This was their Saturday nap (our dog Billy joined them). Although they are just snapshots, these are the moments that I want to always remember.
Last week was H-O-T. One hundred degree weather in May is never a good thing. My little guy undressed as often as possible. Some days I lost count of how many times I had to go on a search of his clothes! The photo was after a nap, I was in the backyard working on a project and this is what I saw peeking out the back door. The hardest part was trying not to laugh as he flashed his charming smile my way. Have a wonderful week and stay cool everyone!
I've been trying all month to get a picture of his big goofy smile that he makes when he laughs. Yesterday I finally got it.! Best Mother's Day present ever!
I'm a week behind, but I figured that I would take the Easter holiday off and enjoy a little bit of vacation. This messy theme seems to be a constant in my life right now. If there is dirt or mud my boy wants to be playing in it! Have a wonderful week everyone!
Eric and Coco have classic sibling rivalry. She tolerates him... and only because if she doesn't, she gets into trouble! I just happen to grab my camera when Eric was trying to pet Coco as she slept. Our little princess does not like being disturbed (as you can tell) and snapped at him right as I snapped the picture. She didn't hurt him, it was just a "warning shot". Have a wonderful week!
I wish I could bottle up his happiness at times like these. The laugh, the smile, the giggles... this is the greatness of being two. The only thing needed to make a day perfect is the sunshine and a swing.
Oh those terrible two's! We have been over our heads in mischief lately. In the past few weeks we've had incidents with toothpaste, paint, spices and as pictured above... lipstick. No matter how many ways we "child-proof" our home, he always seems to find a way into something messy. As you can see above he was EXTREMELY proud of himself. Toddlers... keeping parents on their toes since the beginning of time. Have a great week everyone!
I'm finally caught up on my Project 52! Yesterday our little guy wanted nothing to do with me... it was all about Dad. He ran away from me after his bath. I'm bummed I cut off their feet, but I was dealing with the daily chaos of dogs and toys all over the floor and this is what I got... one day he'll hate me for this. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
