Last year at this time Liz and Mitch had their maternity session. They thought it would be fun to have some family portraits a year later at the same location, Single Palm Pumpkin Patch. Little Victoria had lots of fun playing in the dirt and discovering the pumpkins.

October is my favorite month of the year. Not only is it my birthday month (and my little monkey's), but it brings back so many fond memories of Halloween's past. My twin Great-Aunt's Teresa and Virginia were Halloween babies and we always celebrated with them after going trick-or -treating. We knew to save our candy because we were going to get birthday cake that was usually loaded with butter-cream icing! All of this made me absolutely love the month of October because between the pumpkins, the fun and the birthdays it was always my favorite time of the year.
This year we made our fourth annual trek to our favorite Pumpkin Patch, Single Palm Pumpkins. Sadly, this will be our last visit to the patch. The owners have decided that with the drought here in California that they will do something else with the land. We made it a family occasion and my sister and brother-in-law brought their two littles and my cousin brought her girls. Except for my little guy's meltdown near the end of our visit, we had a good time. Such an exciting time for our family! My cousin Michele is getting married and blending her family with her fiance's. We met up in Visalia with the entire crew to get some pictures of the couple and the family for their invitations and to celebrate two families becoming one. Congratulations you two, I can't wait for the wedding!
I am a couple weeks behind with my project 52. Pregnancy and motherhood just limits my time lately to get anything done. Priorities are to worry about the kiddos, hubby and house first and business later. However, it doesn't mean I stop taking pictures! I just haven't had a moment to sit and blog about them. I am going to attempt to catch up because life is just getting busier and busier by the day!
This was from a week ago. I came out of the back of the house and my little one was having a snack... and sharing it with his favorite pooch. The picture is dark but it was evening and the I was just trying to make sure to get the moment. These two are like peas and carrots and I love that my son is growing up with the love of his dogs. I love capturing moments of you with our family. This last weekend we traveled south to Los Angeles to celebrate your big brother's birthday. You played and visited with everyone and we had a great day.
Such a beautiful family! I met up with the Garnier's at Woodward Park during the golden hour and captured the loveliness below...
I love photographing families and I'm so excited to offer two days of Fall Family Mini Sessions in October. Bring the kiddos (dress them up if you like) and come enjoy some family fun at the Pumpkin Patch!
This week we took our boy to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo (our local zoo). He had lots of fun running around and for the most part... not paying ANY attention to the animals!
We live in central California's San Joaquin Valley. And for those of you that have not visited our fair state and only think of blondes, beaches and movie stars when you hear the word "California" nothing could be further than the truth! We are surrounded by farmland here in Kerman and it gets awfully hot in the summertime! However, the beauty of living in the central valley is that you are only a couple hours away from the beach or the mountains and on said hot days we tend to escape it by taking a little day trip.
We left what was supposed to be a day of unbearable heat (107 degrees) and headed to Cayucos where the expected high for the day was to be a beautiful 66! As soon as our two year old saw the ocean he was a happy kid. We didn't even get a chance to put his swim trunks on! He just ran for the ocean and was knee deep before I could do a thing about it. I was a little bummed that the pier was closed for renovations (I guess we'll have to make another trip to get pictures on the pier!) but we had loads of fun splashing in the water. The best thing about having a husband who is a school teacher is that we get at least a month of summer vacation together. Eric loves having his Dad around the house... basically I'm invisible right now. This image was also featured on "My Beautifully Chaotic Lifestyle" blog for the week ending 7/17/14.
